The paper investigates issues related to the principles of eco-sustainability and criteria of de-sign choice to be made in respect to the characteristics of the interventions. It proposes cases of recovery and re-use sustainable in Sicily, whose choices of action were made in respect of the environment and local traditions. General directives: reduction of the energy consump-tion; use of recycled and recyclable materials;improvement of the thermo/igrometric.
